Our Colonic Hydrotherapy Service

At Stonehall Health we use a closed system for our colon hydrotherapy treatments.  The system requires a qualified colon hydrotherapist to be in attendance with the client for the duration of the whole treatment, as it is the therapist, not the client who controls the flow of water into the large intestine and out again.

Treatment

Your first appointment will usually last about an hour and a half, this will include a consultation, medical questionnaire and a full explanation of the equipment and procedure.  Following your consultation, the treatment itself takes about 45minutes, during which modern, hygienic equipment, gently cleanses your colon using warm sterilized water in a simple and dignified procedure.

Warm filtered water is introduced into your colon, through a small tube called a speculum which is gently inserted into your rectum.  As the warm water enters your colon, you’ll feel a fullness as your colon fills up, and then a relaxing feeling as it empties.  The water pressure and temperature are carefully controlled and all the waste is drained away discreetly in a closed system, with absolutely no mess or odours.
