Is it safe?

Your safety is of paramount importance. Modern equipment constantly maintains the water temperature and pressure within safe limits.

Is it embarrassing?

No, you will maintain your full dignity at all times. You will be in a private treatment room, with a trained therapist, who fully appreciates the sensitivity of a colonic procedure and will help you feel relaxed and at ease.

Is it painful?

Very rarely, there is some discomfort for some people. Your therapist will put you at ease and answer any questions and concerns you may have.

Are there contraindications (Who can’t have a colonic?)

Yes, there are contraindications where a colonic cannot be performed, these include conditions such as
Disease of the large intestine, cancer of the rectum or bowel, fissures or fistula severe haemorrhoids, recent surgery on the rectum or bowel, bowel perforation, disease of the liver, severe gall stones, kidney disease.

How long does a treatment take?

The treatment itself lasts approximately 45 minutes. It may be shorter or longer depending on the client. You should allow yourself an hour and a half for your first visit.

What kind of water is used for colonic hydrotherapy?

We use drinking water from the mains supply. This water is then treated again, through our UV treatment system for your complete safety and warmed to body temperature for your comfort.
